Bio: Hullo, I’m Ernie Macmillan. You may have heard of me, but you don’t know me I know. I’m a former member of the D.A. a.k.a Dumbledore’s Army or the Defense Association, here I learned skills that would save and change my life forever.
15, August 1997, just a few days before my 17th birthday, three Death Eaters entered my home. As I pulled my wand, I thought that they were stupid: one of the places a badger is fiercest is when defending his sett.
“Expelliarmus,” I shouted. The D.E. was knocked back into the wall near a sideboard.
“Stupefy! Stupefy! Incarcerous! Incarcerous! “ I bellowed. My two last attackers were subdued. When I went to tie up the third, I noticed the trail of blood from the sideboard down the wall. The Death Eater…the man I expelled his wand away from him hit his head and died. I killed someone with a ‘non-lethal’ spell.
22, August 1997, my 17th birthday; I received my Hogwarts Letter telling me I was to be Head Boy. I made up my mind right then and there: forgotten is the dream of being a Auror, for today, I’m going to be a Healer specializing in midwifery and pediatrics. For the rest of my life, I want to see life in its newest forms--its beginnings.
My last goal of my Hogwarts career would be to try to pretend to be the happy-go lucky Ernie I’ve always been and get the best marks I could.

I’m learning to see the delight in the women’s faces as they feel their babies quicken I’m seeing the minute changes in body language of the infants before they can speak, telling me just what is wrong.
